How it worksThree owners, one stalled renewal

Every hold tracked.Your clerk decides.

Some renewals stay blocked after the normal payment process. NotMyToll organizes the receipts and release documents for those cases, tracks each reported hold, and prepares the case for clerk review. The decisions stay where they belong.

Who does what

One renewal, clear owners, no guessing.

  1. 01
    Clerk

    Notes what stopped the renewal.

Paid but still blocked, missing proof, multiple holds, payment destination unclear, disputed charge or court matter. Each hold on the stop screen is recorded with where the information came from and when it was checked. A toll invoice alone never counts as an active hold.

  2. 02
    Customer

    Pays and requests the documents.

Through the reporting entity's own official channel: the paid receipt or release document for that specific account, from the entity that reported the hold. NotMyToll never takes, holds or moves customer money.

  3. 03
    NotMyToll

    Organizes evidence, lists what's missing.

Receipts and release documents are read for issuer, reference, payment date, amount, remaining balance and vehicle identifiers. Every field stays "extracted" until a clerk confirms it. Each document is matched to the hold it names, and follow-up is tracked against an agreed time limit.

  4. 04
    Clerk

    Verifies and processes the renewal.

The case comes back ready for clerk review with a cover sheet on the original documents. The clerk records a decision per hold, with a date and a source, and processes the renewal under the office's own procedure.

What comes back

A cover sheet, not a release.

One page that sits on top of the original official evidence. It lists each reported hold, the document attached for it, which fields the clerk has confirmed, and what's still outstanding. It says plainly that NotMyToll did not issue any release.

Questions agencies ask

Straight answers.

We already have a payment and clearance process. Why this?

Keep it. NotMyToll is for the renewals that stay blocked after that process: paid but still listed, proof missing, several holds, or a payment that went to a different account.

Can it clear a hold or issue a release?

No. NotMyToll never issues a clearance or a release. A hold is recorded as cleared only when your clerk verifies it, with a date and a source, and never from a payment receipt alone.

Is the renewal same-day once the receipt is in?

It depends on the office. Each office sets its own procedure and timing; Manatee County, for example, allows 3 business days for receipts sent online. The checklist records what your office accepts and when that was last confirmed.

What about disputed charges, wrong plates or court matters?

Those get a referral to the official process and status tracking only. NotMyToll doesn't file, draft or choose anything, and doesn't promise a managed resolution.

The customer says they paid. Isn't that enough?

Not always. A payment can land on a different account than the one behind the hold. THEA, for example, says a SunPass payment made after an account went to collections isn't applied to the collection balance. So "I paid" is a starting point: the case needs the receipt or release document from the entity that reported the hold, and your clerk decides whether it's enough.

Do you take the case over for us?

No. This is a software pilot, not a managed service. The customer pays and requests documents through official channels, NotMyToll organizes the evidence and tracks follow-up, and your clerk verifies and processes the renewal. During the pilot, any founder help with follow-up has an agreed time limit and every minute is logged.

What does the $100 pilot include?

Thirty days of the software at one location, on consecutive eligible stalled renewals, with time-limited founder assistance that's logged in the report. It doesn't include unlimited investigations, payment handling or a managed resolution. Managed-service pricing comes only after the pilot shows what the work actually takes.

Can you find every hold on a plate?

No, and we don't claim to. Each case starts from what your clerk's stop screen shows, and every reported hold is recorded with where the information came from and when it was checked.

What about AI errors or data leaks?

The demo and pilot preview run on synthetic data. Extracted fields stay unconfirmed until a clerk checks them against the original. Working with real customer data needs agreed data handling first.
